Which hospitals do you work at?

I have private lists at Port Macquarie Private Hospital for patients with private hospital cover. They have an online admission form.

I have public lists at Port Macquarie Base Hospital (mainly Joint Replacements) and Wauchope and Kempsey Hospitals (mainly for smaller operations and day cases such as arthroscopies).

What are your consultation fees?

Initial appointments $220

Follow up appointments $110

As with all specialist appointments, Medicare rebates are available with a valid GP referral.

What are your Surgery fees?

Surgical fees depend on the complexity of the surgery and/or length of your hospital admission. We will advise you if your surgery/admission is covered under your fund’s no gap or known gap arrangements (Gap Cover, Medigap etc..).

Some procedures may therefore incur an out of pocket gap depending on your health fund and level of cover.

What should I bring to the appointment?

All Patients – Referral, Imaging (X-rays, MRI etc), list of medications, Medicare card, Health Fund details if applicable.

Third Party or Worker’s Compensation Patients –  Approval and claim number, case manager details.
